The RoleVML is looking for an experienced People Advisor to join our team. As an essential member of VML you will provide a full range of Human Resources support and play an active role in ensuring the people experience is seamless, from onboarding, operations, employee relations to offboarding.This is a unique position for someone who has a passion for promoting and supporting an “employee experience” rather than simply doing the typical “HR stuff”.Reporting to the People Partner, the People Advisor will support the HR functions by:

  • Support all stages of the employee lifecycle; including but not limited to onboarding, payroll and benefit management.
  • Ensure our new starter & leaver admin and related processes run smoothly- identify ways to improve the employee experience and automate the processes where possible
  • Manage contractual paperwork, including offer letters, contract of employment and extensions
  • Manage annual leave queries and entitlements
  • Responsible for the People Systems (including our HRIS Workday) – inputting, maintaining data and making relevant changes
  • Work alongside the payroll team to support the monthly payroll process and answer payroll related enquires
  • Provide advice to line managers on day-to-day employee relations issues, escalating where appropriate
  • Help guide successful delivery of People programs and processes that support VML to achieve a “best places to work” culture and positive employee experience, including Wellbeing and Learning & Development programmes
  • Support the People Partner in developing and implementing strategies for employee retention, motivation, and engagement
  • Provide exceptional employee support by responding quickly and accurately to general employee questions and requests
  • Act as a trusted advisor to staff and leaders

You

  • First and foremost, you will be passionate about delivering an outstanding employee experience.
  • You will have experience working at a similar level within the UK market.
  • You are discreet and able to deal with highly sensitive & confidential information professionally and in line with data protection laws
  • You will have a proven track record within HR disciplines such as employee relations, learning and development, performance management, payroll and benefits.
  • You have strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail
  • You will have the ability to foster strong, credible relationships with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • You will have exceptional communication skills.
  • You are respectful in all you do, act with integrity and honesty and treat others fairly
  • You embrace and adapt to change with a positive attitude
  • You strive to find solutions with a pro active attitude
  • You will work collaboratively with the wider People team and Agency leaders
  • Part CIPD/CIPD qualified or experience in an Agency environment is desirable.
