RSK Asbestos have an exciting new opportunity to join their growing team as an Asbestos Operations Manager. This role is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the UK, however there will be a requirement to travel to some offices from time to time.RSK Asbestos is a UKAS accredited consultancy, with offices in Hemel Hempstead, Coventry, Helsby and Glasgow, and the capacity to provide comprehensive asbestos consultancy services across the country.Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork led operational management to ensure day to day activities run efficiently and project delivery expectations are achieved with regular attendances at an RSK office
  • Taking responsibility for and to maintain utilisation, regardless of location
  • Management of Consultants and Project Managers with involvement in recruitment as required
  • Tender and project management including technical review
  • Working with the quality and senior team to ensure all work is carried out in compliance with the quality system and to a general high standard
  • Working with clients to resolve issues and attending meetings as required
  • Recognising business development opportunities and attending meetings as required
  • Advising clients of asbestos liabilities and management
  • Monitoring set KPIs, such as project turnaround, project profitability, debt collection and query resolution

Person Specification:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Relevant BOHS / RSPH qualifications
  • Significant experience in provision of consultancy, testing and inspections
  • Have good organisational skills and be able to multitask effectively
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Have good attention to detail
  • Ideally have previous man management or supervisory experience, or demonstrate good leadership skills
  • Commercially astute and have a proven track record managing successful tenders and projects
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate a desire to improve business operations
  • Able to see the overall business picture as well as deal with the finer details
  • Able to work well within a team but have confidence and initiative to work with minimal supervision
  • Have the ability to prioritise their own workload
  • Proficient with IT and familiar with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook

Salary and benefits:

  • Salary Up to £45,000 depending on experience
