As the Senior Payment Investigation Analyst, you will be responsible for validation, investigation, analysis, and resolution of the more difficult or complex requests and inquiries from domestic and overseas clients on their wire payments. The incumbent acts as the first point of contact for escalations from Business Partners and Clients, delivering a high standard of service while upholding compliance to internal controls and procedures.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How You’ll SucceedAnalytical Thinking – As a payment investigation analyst you will ensure complete and timely review and action for wire payment inquiries and identify root cause where possible.Business Acumen – You will enhance your knowledge of the types of payment messages received at financial institutions and learn how to handle diverse wire payment inquiries. You will interact with various internal and external business partners and will be able to differentiate where requests should be directed. You are willing and able to apply your skills to other functions in the payment investigations team as needed.Relationship Building – Required to interact with internal business partners and correspondent banks globally. You represent yourself professionally and can clearly articulate your thoughts.
