Job Description:Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Metrolinx is an agency of the Government of Ontario.At Metrolinx, equity, diversity and inclusion are essential to living our values of serving with passion, thinking forward and playing as a team.Our Revenue & Treasury Office is looking for a detail oriented and proactive Revenue Services officer to provide various Treasury services. In this position you will provide curtail back-up support to the Treasury Room Supervisor, ensuring the efficient scheduling of ticket vending machines and managing incidents related to TVM operations.What will I be doing?
- Ensure daily scheduling of Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) to guarantee that no machine is out of service due to scheduling issues, utilizing sound judgement and strong analytical skill to interpret TVM data for optimal scheduling.
- Coordinate with armed services regarding TVM scheduling and validate their services on a daily basis.
- Coordinate with armed services regarding their spare pool of TVM hoppers and vaults to ensure adequate stock to service TVMs.
- Work closely with the Treasury Room team to coordinate any technical support needs.
- Review and investigate TVM incident cases daily, using various data sources, to ensure the proper solution is provided to customers.
- Review and investigate TVM incident cases daily, using sound judgement and strong analytical skill to verify data from different sources before providing accurate and appropriate responses.
- Manage chargebacks from various acquirers related to customer claims, thoroughly investigating cases to provide accurate results.
- Coordinate with IT on any Treasury system or TVM-related upgrades and ensure smooth implementation.
- Transmit credit card payment files to the payment card services provider for processing reserve parking payments.
- Track Presto cards returns, and coordinate with Presto offices to ensure they are returned on time.
- Transfer payroll files and funds to cover payroll, arranging bank drafts and wire transfers as needed.
- Complete reconciliations on cash revenue-related control accounts in the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?
- Completion of a college diploma in Accounting or currently working towards a CPA designation, coupled with a college diploma in Software Applications, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Demonstrated years of experience in a computerized accounting environment, with a solid understanding of banking and revenue collection procedures. Proficient in various applications and analytics tools, with advanced spreadsheet skills, and experienced in software programs, including debugging, testing, and interpreting test plans. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
