Our Corporate team act for financial institutions, SME’s, owner managed businesses and PLC’s on all aspects of corporate transactions. We also advise clients on matters relating to employee ownership, in addition we deal with shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements, company formation arrangements and other aspects of corporate life.The team had an outstanding year in 2024 working on deals valued at £6.6, billion – a new record for the firm. The deals spanned a wide range of sectors and business types and were executed by collaborative working across a number of teams within the firm giving our people the chance to expand their skills working on transactions both nationally and internationally. The deals, spanning clients nationwide, form part of our ongoing success.Take a look at the teams achievements over the last 12 months We are looking for a Corporate Solicitor with between 0 and 5 years’ PQE experience to join our expanding East Midlands Corporate team. It’s a unique opportunity to play a key part in market leading business at a time of exciting growth. This would suit you if you are keen to make a mark in the East Midlands region in a firm where you will have exposure to great quality work, including large transactions.Due to the flexibility and dynamics of the team this opportunity can be based from any of our East Midlands hubs, these being Leicester, Nottingham or Lincoln.What you will be doing:

  • working alongside senior lawyers to provide assistance on all aspects of corporate transactional and reorganisation work (commercial experience is welcomed but not essential)
  • assisting on large complex deals with appropriate supervision; building up your own caseload of more straightforward matters
  • assisting with company secretarial services, including preparation of board minutes, Companies House forms and other ancillary transactional documents
  • handling enquiries efficiently
  • liaising with clients in a professional manner
  • working to strict deadlines

What you will need:

  • 0 – 5 years’ previous experience gained dealing in Corporate matters within a law firm or in-house
  • strong IT skills
  • the ability to manage files effectively
  • a desire to enhance and build client relationships
  • excellent communication skills
  • a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a fast-moving environment
  • excellent organisational and prioritising skills
