Job Description:Job Title High Yield Desk AnalystLocation LondonCorporate Title Vice PresidentYou will sit within the European (EU) High Yield (HY) Credit Trading desk in London. The desk’s main activity comprises of market making and carrying inventory of High Yield Corporate Bonds.The Desk primarily trades with large institutional investors. The traders are supported by an integrated desk analyst team which manages and analyses risks and generates trade ideas to facilitate customer demand.You will join the High Yield Desk Analyst team working in generating trade ideas and supporting traders manage their risks.You will start adding value from day one and will have direct contact with the sales force, promote the franchise, run positions and identify value through education in the various products, systems and market practice.What we’ll offer youA healthy, engaged and well-supported workforce are better equipped to do their best work and, more importantly, enjoy their lives inside and outside the workplace. Your key responsibilities
- Elaborate secondary trade ideas for the desk in the High Yield bond area
- Credit analysis and cash flow modelling of potential or existing issuers. Bond documentation analysis
- Constant monitoring of existing book positions to avoid being invested in positions where we see downside risk
- Write short-comments on news/results/trade ideas to communicate with clients externally and internally
- Develop desk franchise with key clients, including through meetings and presentations.
- Interacting with rating agencies. Managing other members of staff
Your skills and experience
- Vice President level High Yield Desk Analyst
- Previous relevant experience in Credit preferred
- Extensive knowledge of credit, credit liquidity, credit pricing and the European Client Base
- Being detail oriented, naturally inquisitive and enthusiastic, and consistently striving for self-education
- Displaying innovation as part of a market-leading team with the end goal of developing the business/franchise
