This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. We seek an enthusiastic person with a passion for investigation with highly developed skills in report building, data management and analysis.. Someone that will constructively challenge current methods of working and develop new and innovative ways of presenting data and providing insights on train performance. Expertise in Power BI, Business Objects and other reporting software is vitalAbout the role (External)About the team..The Network Performance team oversees nationwide performance and has a unique position within the railway of being unlimited in the scope of issues we can explore. We are responsible for reporting on official statistics for the railway as well as articulating the official narrative on performance. We lead on innovation for the performance community within the railway in terms of new data sources and new metrics and we are the key point of contact between Network Rail and the regulator and the DfT on performance issues.What does the average day look like?As a performance analyst, you will uncover trends and root causes using a range of analytical techniques. You will develop and maintain models and tools that provide the industry with valuable insights into performance metrics. You’ll collaborate on large and small scale analysis projects with route and operator teams seeking to understand the root causes of their localised performance issuesBy producing comprehensive reports, datasets, and analytical tools, you’ll support stakeholders and regulators in understanding performance trends.
