Experience and Qualifications:
- ASTT certification preferred – willingness to obtain it will be considered
- Working knowledge of D/C and A/C electrical systems
- Mechanical experience – diesel engines preferred
- Mechanical, engine, and electrical troubleshooting
- Background as auto mechanic, marine engineer / mechanic or similar could be successful in this role – GENERATOR TRAINING PROVIDED
- Customer facing field service experience strongly preferred
- Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal
- Personal responsibility, organizational skills, self starter
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Service, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of generators in commercial and other public and private institutions
- Servicing of generators 8 kW up to 2-3 MW
- Test, measure, and verify electrical component operations
- Service engine driven gensets powered by diesel or natural gas
- Build strong customer relationships by demonstrating professional communication
- Document work performed and prepare reports as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
