Our client a Calgary based, centrally located boutique accounting firm seeking a Manager, Assurance to join their expanding assurance practice.The Manager, Assurance leads and manages multiple assurance engagements including Notice to Reader and Review Engagements. Designated professionals with a minimum of 7 years post designated experience, currently working in a small to mid-size public practice firm will be given preference.Duties include but are not limited to;
- Review of completed working papers, adjusting journal entries, and financial statements in accordance with Firm standards
- Keeping the team up-to-date on the content and practical applications of accounting and assurance standards, and know how to access and research professional and technical materials;
- Review of completed Personal and Corporate Tax Returns, Trust Returns, and T4 and T5 tax slips
- Effective communication with clients, partners and staff
