Position: SPED Math TeacherRate: $60/hourAre you a passionate and enthusiastic SPED Math teacher looking for a great opportunity? If you’re certified and ready to make a real difference in students’ lives, keep reading!What You’ll Do:As our SPED Math Teacher, you’ll be a key player in helping students with special needs succeed. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:

  • Be a Consultant: Share your expertise! You’ll be providing ongoing guidance on innovative special education practices.
  • Assess & Report: You’ll complete academic assessments and whip up those assessment reports needed for IEPs, keeping track of how students are progressing.
  • IEP Guru: You’ll develop, write, and manage IEPs, including creating awesome annual goals for students.
  • Curriculum Connector: You’ll ensure the right resources are in place to help students crush their IEP objectives.
  • Accommodation Ace: Provide consultation on curriculum accommodations which assists staff in accommodating the curriculum to meet the learning style and needs of the child with a disability
  • Team Player: You’ll attend staff training, meetings, and committees, working with the school team.
  • Progress Tracker: Making sure all students on your caseload are making progress on all goals
  • Collaborate with specialists You will consult with OTs, SLPs, and others to provide support and to monitor the progress of each student throughout the year
  • Provide specialized academic instruction: You will provide SAI to students following their IEPs
  • Paperwork master: You will be in charge of documenting attendance reports monitoring IEP goals and making sure paperwork gets to families
  • Available support: You will be available to talk to families, give insight, and discuss plans of action

What You’ll Need:

  • Highly Qualified status (Bachelor’s degree) – Required
  • Special Education certification – Required
  • Two years of teaching experience in a high-need, high-performing school and evidence of impact on student learning in that setting ( Preferred )

$60 per hour
