We value creativity, innovation, and practical skills, and our Design & Technology department plays a vital role in fostering these qualities in our students.About the Design & Technology Teacher RoleWe are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and hands-on projects.Responsibilities of the Design & Technology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students can explore their creativity and develop their practical skills in Design & Technology.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and departmental resources.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Design & Technology and incorporate new technologies into the classroom.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Design & Technology teaching.
- Actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between pupils and all groups of pupils.
- Monitor and promote the involvement of all groups of pupils in the extra-curricular life of the school.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to inspiring students.
