Job SummaryJob DescriptionWHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Onboarding Team is looking for a Senior Technical Manager to assume a leadership position and work towards onboarding applications to RBC’s Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) service (Okta) in accordance with the IAM onboarding strategy and IAM goals. This role will require you to work with a wide range of technology and business stakeholders to implement IAM solutions. You will identify business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals and meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.We are looking for an ambitious, adaptable, and proactive individual with knowledge in the IAM and cloud computing space, who challenges the status quo, is constantly thinking about flexibility, robustness, and simplicity in everything we do.What will you do?
- Work with business partners and application teams across RBC Enterprise to explain the onboarding process and document requirements.
- Work with business partners and application teams to ensure successful end-to-end onboarding for the CIAM services.
- Learn architectural patterns relevant to RBC’s CIAM Okta services.
- Provide consultative services to ensure requirements are following RBC Standards.
- Identify and report security risks in accordance with RBC Standards.
- Report on Authentication onboarding progress and metrics.
- Participate in all aspects of onboarding as requested by the onboarding team: This may include:
- Review, analyze, and define onboarding requirements as well as contribute to the technical development specifications.
- Mapping requirements to approved architectural patterns and designs.
- Ensuring all the supporting evidence, sign-offs are documented and stored for Audit purposes.
- Provide support with tasks and ad hoc requests as required.
- Identify and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of the onboarding process.
- Provide direction in the optimization, efficiency, and capacity planning of initiatives.
- Function as point of escalation and resolution for incidents and project related issues.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring within the team to drive optimal performance.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight in a high-pressure environment with emotional intelligence.
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (SAML, OAUTH) and experience working with SaaS products like CIS (OKTA) and CIC(Auth0) and AZURE AD
- Cross-functional collaboration and negotiation with internal teams for effective task completion.
- Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, etc.) and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and experience presenting to a wide variety of audience sizes.
- Must be able to understand high level architectural designs from authentication and security perspective.
Nice-to-have
- Data analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience with one or more of IAM capabilities & tools (SailPoint, CyberArk/PAM, GDS etc).
- Professional certification(s) related to information security or information risk management such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP
