Your leadership will drive compliance, manage audits, and implement environmental management plans to minimize impact and maintain operational integrity.As Part of Our Team, You Will:

  • Lead and supervise a team of Compliance Technicians to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and report compliance performance, incidents, and regulatory updates.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to assess site compliance with permits and environmental policies.
  • Lead Environmentally focused projects
  • Manage environmental reporting, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to regulatory bodies.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and First Nations partners.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions for non-compliance issues.
  • Direct and monitor the implementation of the Environmental Management System and associated Environmental Management Plans.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role:

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 3+ years experience in environmental compliance, auditing, and permitting within the mining or industrial sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal and provincial environmental regulations, environmental monitoring systems (air, water, waste), and compliance reporting.
  • Leadership & Communication: Experience leading teams, engaging with regulatory agencies, and preparing compliance reports.
  • Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Ability to analyze environmental data, conduct audits, and implement corrective measures effectively.

Your Work Environment:

  • Location: Mine site-based role with periodic travel to regulatory meetings
  • Work Schedule: Rotational shift schedule with a mix of fieldwork and site-based office work. 2-weeks on, 2-weeks off rotating schedule
  • Collaboration: Work closely with environmental, health & safety, and sustainability teams to achieve compliance goals.

This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
