As we continue to grow and evolve, we are looking for an experienced Head of Finance and Procurement to play a key role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring our resources are used effectively to support our mission.As our Head of Finance and Procurement, you will report directly to the Executive Finance Director and play a crucial role in ensuring financial sustainability, value for money, and robust governance. You will lead on financial planning, budgeting, treasury management, procurement, and regulatory compliance, working closely with senior stakeholders to drive efficiency and innovation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the finance and procurement functions, ensuring effective financial controls and strategic financial management
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support decision-making
  • Manage treasury and investment strategies, ensuring long-term financial sustainability
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including reporting to the board and external stakeholders
  • Develop and implement an effective procurement strategy, ensuring value for money and ethical sourcing
  • Work closely with operational teams to align financial and procurement strategies with organisational objectives
  • Support funding applications and investment decisions to enhance the organisation’s housing portfolio
  • Lead and mentor the finance and procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within social housing, public sector, or a not-for-profit environment
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, procurement, and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A proactive and strategic mindset, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • A commitment to the values of social housing and supporting rural communities
