Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?A Senior Developer who will join the FIC Global Spread Products e-trading technology team who will be responsible for the overall delivery of key strategic projects and will engage with the trading desk in all aspects of the project delivery.The incumbent will be instrumental in building the next-generation e-trading infrastructure. This infrastructure supports a wide array of functions including pricing, quoting, and hedging across Request for Quote (RFQ), Portfolio, and ETF trading. This cutting-edge platform is designed to achieve ambitious goals:Increasing Capacity and Revenue: The new e-trading infrastructure aims to quadruple the number of securities we can price and offer, with a target to boost revenue by 15%.Scalability Across Businesses: Build a scalable infrastructure that will serve as the backbone for all three GSP businesses—Credit, Derivatives, and Municipals (Muni’s).Cost-Efficiency: Build a common infrastructure to significantly reducing the total cost of technology ownership.Project work includes expansion of eTrading by coding new connectivity and RFQ protocols including Portfolios.Will specifically focus on engagement, framework design and development of deliverables for Muni electronic tradingWhat will you do?Developing the Next Gen e-trading Platform: Your expertise will contribute to the construction of our state-of-the-art e-trading platform, ensuring it meets the dynamic needs of the market and our business.Collaboration: You will work alongside a diverse and global team, contributing to a culture that values collaborative efforts and collective success.Innovation and Learning: This role offers the unique opportunity to learn new technologies and apply them to innovate our trading systems.Influence and Strategy: Your insights will have a direct impact on the architectural decisions, enabling you to shape the strategic direction of our e-trading Infrastructure.What do you need to succeed?Must have:Hardworking, dedicated, detail oriented, focused on quality and a team player, with effective verbal and written communications.7+ years of hands-on coding in server-side Java with strong emphasis on Java Concurrency, RX Streams, Caching (GridGain as Cache), Collections API, Messaging and Event processing across multiple streams5+ years of coding experience in multi-cast messaging (Solace / RV)5+ years of coding with relational DB (SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle)5+ years of technical design of low latency trading application services5+ years of Dev Ops tools (Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Helios)Nice-to-have:Capable of managing & leading people and deliveryWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
