We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.This is an exciting opening for an Application Support Analyst in the dynamic Fraud IT team. Fraud IT is front line in protecting our clients and RBC from a wide range of fraudulent activity and has a direct impact on RBC’s bottom line.You’ll be responsible for day-to-day application support of a dynamic Fraud Detection platform working with Cloud technologies including Openshift, Azure, Kafka, and ElasticSearch. The team embraces an innovative mindset and exploring new solutions and technologies to continuously improve our detection capability and supporting platforms.What will you do?Application Support AnalystDay-to-day support of applications and platforms and ensure service and resolutions are within established SLAsMaintains seamless technology support for clients when dealing across multiple RBC LOB and external vendors.Ensures that all requests raised by clients and users are handled timely and appropriately; and assists with Senior Management escalation where needed.Participates in projects representing the Application Support team.Assist with case resolution and escalations as requiredCoordinates change management and monitors implementation of infrastructure and application fixes and vendor system upgrades where necessaryEnsure quality, performance, responsiveness of applicationsWork with technology vendors and own relationships with them to drive quality application supportParticipate in post-implementation reviews of application, development, and processes, continually working to create a learning environment by sharing with othersWork in an Agile team environment which is fast paced, fun and collaborativeEnsuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisionsWorking with different RBC internal teams for software support and bug fixesStay current and competitive by keeping up to date with the latest platform capabilities, security, performance, and reusabilityMust have 3-4 years working technical experienceWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have3-4 years of experience including support forOperating Systems: 80% Windows; 20% Linux – shell scripting skills are required at intermediate levelSQL Server database and SQL queries and tuningMust have scheduling tools (Autosys/Stonebranch/Airflow) experienceProduction trouble shooting skills and ITSM knowledge is mustKnowledge of production controls and access managementMust have good communication and troubleshooting skillsRotational after-hours & weekend support, and carrying a cell phone when on callHadoop/Hive platform, Cloudera, Openshift, Java application support experienceNice to Have

  • Interacting with ServiceNow on incidents, problems, service requests, change deployments
  • Knowledge of Enterprise job schedulers
