The Data Analytics team aims to transform data into information and insights by applying analytical techniques that enable the Company to better understand its risk exposure, emerging trends and the drivers of insurance portfolio results, to make better strategic decisions that improve both shareholder and policyholder value.This role is ideal for someone with an innovative mindset who thrives in a team environment, possesses excellent technical and communication skills, and is passionate about applying advanced analytical and AI tools to solve actuarial business problems. This position offers the opportunity to leverage interpersonal and influencing skills to work effectively across all levels of the organization, driving results and making a meaningful impact on our business.What will you do?

  • Support the development and application of advanced analytical techniques to solve actuarial challenges and business requests with inputs from stakeholders
  • Utilize statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and other analytical tools to improve risk assessment
  • Streamline valuation procedures and drive automation, developing advanced methodologies to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the reserving process.
  • Collaborate closely with experience study authors to provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Enhance overall data governance by optimizing data collection, validation and storage processes to ensure data quality, accuracy and integrity
  • Collaborate with senior actuaries to prepare reports, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and support the development of the junior actuarial team members.

What will you need to succeed?Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or greater) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a relevant field
  • FSA or FCIA with a minimum 7 years of actuarial work experience with valuation, financial reporting, and/or analytics background, with a broad knowledge of insurance products, features, and risks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and tools, such as GGY AXIS, and programming languages (e.g. R, Python)
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience with BI tools, Tableau
  • Experience with IFRS17 Standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
