In this pivotal role, you will manage, develop, and inspire a team of social workers to deliver high-quality services that safeguard and promote the welfare of those in need.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a social work team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children, young people, and their families.
  • Manage the reputation of the Service and the Council.
  • Respond to new challenges, priorities, and requirements while maintaining statutory obligations.
  • Utilise resources effectively to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Drive practice development and implement changes into operational service improvement plans.
  • Measure actual service delivery against improvement plans.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage resources effectively and respond to changing priorities.
