Prospero Teaching are currently seeking a highly motivated Nursery Assistant to join our supply team in Southampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to young children aged between 6 months and 4 years old.Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of daily activities, including creative play, reading, and outdoor activities
• Ensure the safety and welfare of the children at all times
• Develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Support the key worker in maintaining accurate records of children’s development and progress
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other relevant meetings as required
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and child-friendly environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive attitude towards working with children and their families
• A commitment to continuing professional development

• Full time/part-time – Full time
• Rate of pay – £11.92 – £12.50 per hour

To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:

• Hold right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
