Preparation of Training Materials: Develop materials that address gender-sensitive economic empowerment strategies, vocational training, financial literacy, and labor market access for women migrants. The materials should include presentations, case studies, practical exercises, and policy recommendations.
- Training Delivery: Conduct a two-day interactive training session for approximately 30 participants from relevant government agencies, NGOs, and local communities engaged in migration and women’s empowerment initiatives.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the training and develop a questionnaire to measure knowledge acquisition, which will be used for participant evaluation after three months and to further assess the training’s impact.
- Final Report: Submit a detailed training report, including key findings, participant feedback, and recommendations for further actions to improve women’s economic opportunities in migration contexts.
Please note that the structure and format of all the produced documents should be approved by the National Programme Officer at IOM Kazakhstan.
The end products expected to be delivered by the Consultant will be as follows:
- Comprehensive training materials (presentations, handouts, case studies, and pre/post-training evaluation forms).
- A two-day training session conducted successfully.
- Pre- and post-training evaluations completed and analyzed.
- Develop a questionnaire with up to 10 questions to evaluate the application of acquired skills three months after the training.
- A final narrative report, including an assessment of training outcomes and recommendations for strengthening economic empowerment initiatives for migrant women.
The Consultant will receive a consultancy fee, which will be paid to the bank account indicated by the Consultant upon completion of the services provided and approval by IOM of the submitted final report.
The Consultant will work under the overall supervision of the National Programme Officer and direct supervision of Senior Programme Assistant at IOM Kazakhstan. As work progress, the Consultant will share expected delivery results with the IOM Kazakhstan for review. IOM Kazakhstan will ensure to provide timely comments to the consultant’s work and address any Consultant’s request (i.e. additional information, participants contacts, etc.).
- Have a minimum Master’s degree (or equivalent advanced university degree) in Economics, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Proven experience in delivering training on women’s economic empowerment, labor market integration, or entrepreneurship.
- Knowledge of migration and gender-related vulnerabilities in Central Asia.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and report-writing skills in Russian (required). Knowledge of Kazakh and/or English is an asset.
- Experience in working with relevant governmental and non-governmental institutions and international organizations is highly desirable.
