UNDP Social Inclusion and Governance (SIG) Portfolio’s strategy is focusing on promoting change at scale through investing in national capacity to respond in addition to piloting and prototyping development solutions that have the potential to lead to transformational change.
In the view of the above, UNDP plans to mobilize three (3) personnel as Field Facilitator for designing, coordinating, reporting activities and consultancy services of the project if the conditions are suitable for hiring.
3. Scope of Work
The overall task of the Field Facilitator is to design/coordinate/report the activities in line with the plans and work in collaboration with UNDP Project Team, and all relevant partners. The Field Facilitator will have the following responsibilities:
- Preparing the plans, procedures and maps required for the internal management system with the support of the Implementing Partner Expert (IPE). Performing internal audit, monitoring and preparing and implementing the necessary plans and self assessment report within the scope of nonconformities. Support IPE for implementing an internal management system and data management plan for Producer Units (Quality Management System).
- Improving training programmes for farmers. Tracking and keeping records of farmers and workers in the Producer Unit. Participating in and supporting 2nd Party and 3rd Party audits of Producer Units. Training farmers and workers within the plan in each visit. Guiding farmers in filling the Farmer Field Book. Frequently visit Farmers (max 150 farmers/monthly)
- Keeping a record of the corrective actions to be created after the nonconformities to be detected after the audits and ensuring their implementation, monitoring and planning the process. nationaPrepare weekly and monthly reports for Project team including partners’ technical staff; Undertake communication activities to promote the project and support activities.
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by partner and/or UNDP. Work in close cooperation with the UNDP Turkey, to finalize the discussions and present the deliverables to the UNDP Project Team, for approval.
4. Institutional Arrangement
Within this scope, the Field Facilitator will work closely with the Project Team and will report to UNDP SIG Portfolio Project (Field) Associate for project activities in Sanliurfa’. The Field Facilitator will report to the UNDP SIG Portfolio Project (Field) Associate. UNDP SIG Portfolio / Project (Field) Associate will directly supervise the NPSA. NPSA will be directly responsible to, reporting to, seeking approval/acceptance of output from the UNDP Project (Field) Associate.

6. Minimum Qualifications of the Successful NPSA
Minimum Education requirements |
|
Minimum years of relevant work experience | Minimum of 4 years (with high school diploma) or 1 years (with bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible administrative or project experience is required
At least 1 year of specific experience in cotton production is required At least 1 year of specific field level experience is required |
Required skills | Driving license is required
Experience in the use of computers, office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based management systems, and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages. |
Desired skills in addition to the competencies covered in the Competencies section | Asset: Experiences in filling Farmer Hand-Book and reporting
Asset: Experience in Licensed Cotton Production Asset: Experience in the implementation of quality management system in agriculture At least 1 year of specific experience in Sanliurfa Region. |
