As we enter the next phase of FBM there are large opportunities for growth and career development.As a part of the FBM team, we can build, replenish, & modernize this crucial national asset with today’s tools & technology to benefit the world, the nation, our states, and our communities!This role will offer you the following daily challenges:This position holds procurement management and delegation responsibility for all applicable supplier agreements and contracts within the established authority.You will perform subcontract administrator duties in support of the program, including:
- Ensure all artifacts necessary to build a compliant procurement document are present and adequate
- Engage with Subcontracts Manager Peer Reviewer to ensure compliant packages are presented
- Engage with Subcontracts Manage Compliance for process compliance
- Help develop subcontract specifications, statements of work and scope.
- Research and evaluate procurement sources and qualification
- Manage Compliant Placement of Purchase Orders
Although this position does support some teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in , and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.Basic QualificationsTo be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience/combined education,
- Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Management or related field from an accredited college or university.
- 3 years of professional experience
- Previous LM subcontracts/supply chain experience as a buyer or SCA
- Previous professional experience leading negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost and schedule objectives are captured in contractual commitments
- Previous professional experience with the procurement and management of specialized materials, complex assemblies, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
- Self Motived with a demonstrated sense of urgency and ownership, and accountability for tasks/assignment
- Possess effective relationship building skills with peers, leadership and suppliers
- You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
- Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
