Details:Mission and objectives:Enable continuous access to education for children, youth, and teachers around the world and drive improved learning outcomes through high-quality, portable education to support their entry into other education or opportunity pathways, including formal educationContext:Developing basic animations with Vyond. Knowledge of pedagogy/digital pedagogy topics is preferred. Instructional design, graphic design or multi-media experience is welcome.These videos will be helpful for teachers in developing contexts to understand how to integrate digital learning in their classrooms and create blended learning experiences for their students in a post-COVID world. This is an exciting project since these videos will be integrated into courses and trainings that will be adapted, translated and eventually added to every Learning Passport instance (45 and counting) in the program.Task type:Art and DesignTask description:We are looking for 2 Online Volunteer/s who under the guidance of the Global Content Lead of the Learning Passport, and in close collaboration with the ESAR regional lead to support us by producing 5 short animations each for a blended learning teacher training course.Each volunteer will produce:
– A storyboard and script for each animation prior to development that follows the style guideline
– Create 5 animations in the program Vyond – https://www.vyond.com/ that represent the cultural diversity of all 7 regions of the UN and closely resonates with the contexts our teachers face in blended learning. The animations will enhance the course as explainer videos to teach topics related to digital and blended pedagogy.The 5 animations will be 1-3 minutes each. The total amount of time to build each video from start to finish may take between 1-3 hours for a total of 15 hours in total of development time. A weekly meeting 30 minute with the hiring manager will be needed until project completion. Stakeholder approvals may take up to 8 weeks so this is the maximum time needed from the online volunteer.The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the NYHQ Education Program Group at UNICEF and learn about the ways in which teacher training animations can support closing the learning poverty gap through the creation of appealing, animated explainer videos on varying pedagogical topics.Requirements:Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing animations. They must have basic knowledge of instructional design and graphic design theory, video/animation editing, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
A degree/certificate in education, instructional design, elearning, graphic design, videography/multimedia or related field is considered an asset.Work Hours: 6 – 10
