The RoleAs a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and supporting MAG’s server estate, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi Infrastructure and provide 3rd line support while ensuring the smooth operation of critical IT services. You’ll be part of a service-driven team that provides 24/7/365 support in a dynamic, high-pressure environment where reliability is essential.
Your main focus will be delivering technical expertise and problem-solving skills to uphold the high availability and performance of our infrastructure, ensuring an exceptional service for our customers.What will make you successful in the role?We’re looking for an experienced IT professional with a strong technical background in enterprise IT operations. To excel in this role, you should haven extensive experience in a similar technical operations position, with a strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure.
You will need in-depth knowledge of VMware, ECM (SCCM), Office 365, and Active Directory, including Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. A solid grasp of Windows operating systems, spanning from Server 2008 to 2025 and Windows 7 to 11, is also essential.
Additionally, expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication and Certificate Services will be highly valuable.
While not essential, experience with Always On VPN, Remote Desktop Services, PowerShell scripting, VMware NSX, Microsoft PowerApps, SQL, and Linux & configuring Cisco switches would be a great advantage.
Beyond technical skills, a proactive mindset and the ability to perform effectively under pressure are crucial. A strong commitment to continuous learning, along with a willingness to adapt to new technologies, will set you apart.
