Job DescriptionOrigination and Land Manager – RenewablesLeap29 is seeking an experienced professional to provide expert renewable energy development advice on behalf of a leading consultancy and advisory firm. This role offers flexibility in location, with multiple vacancies available across the UK to support various projects.The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse range of clients on renewable energy and infrastructure projects, including solar photovoltaic, energy storage, onshore wind, and hydrogen.This role is centered around identifying and advancing new onshore, utility-scale renewable energy opportunities. Responsibilities include strategic site searching, site evaluation, engaging with landowners and clients, negotiating exclusivity agreements, and finalizing option and lease contracts.Support will be provided by specialists in data insights, financial modeling, grid analysis, mapping, and land referencing to aid in the identification and assessment of potential development sites.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist renewable energy developers in expanding their project pipeline by identifying and securing suitable sites.
  • Work with colleagues to assess renewable energy potential on clients’ landholdings.
  • Coordinate and oversee input from technical specialists to progress projects.
  • Collaborate with clients’ advisors to structure land agreements for various project types.
  • Potential involvement in the valuation, acquisition, and disposal of renewable energy assets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing professional reporting and advice.
  • Conduct policy analysis and research into key renewable energy technologies and sectors.
  • Leverage industry contacts to generate new opportunities.
  • Travel across Scotland and the UK as required for meetings and site visits.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in the renewable energy sector (essential).
  • Proficiency in GIS and mapping tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commercial awareness and financial understanding of renewable energy projects.
  • Professional and confident approach, with excellent client care skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to contribute to departmental strategy and business development.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
