Job DescriptionAre you an experienced accountant looking for a new rewarding opportunity that presents challenge? We’re seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our client in Charlottetown, PE.Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist in developing and maintaining budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial strategies to support business growth
  • Identify and address discrepancies, and recommend improvements for financial processes
  • Provide financial insights and advice to management

Experience & Attributes for Success:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 5 years+ progressive, full cycle accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping businesses grow
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with family ownership and operational teams
