Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.About the RoleYour Impact:
As a General Helper (six-month fixed term), you will ensure a clean, well-stocked, and welcoming dining environment for all team members. Your commitment to food safety and sanitation will support daily operations while contributing to a positive and efficient workplace. This is a six-month fixed term position.As Part of Our Team, You Will:

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining and lunchroom areas
  • Stock food, beverages, and supplies throughout shift and during service times
  • Ensure compliance with FoodSafe and WHMIS guidelines
  • Provide excellent guest service, assisting with questions or requests
  • Monitor and log cooler temperatures, reporting any issues immediately
  • Assist with food prep, dishwashing, and general cleaning as needed
  • Safely handle and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Report any equipment damage or supply shortages to a supervisor

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role:

  • Grade 12 diploma or GED
  • WHMIS and FoodSafe Level 1 certification
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs throughout a work shift
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail

Your Work Environment:

  • Remote camp setting with private accommodations provided
  • Work in extreme weather conditions and close quarters with team members
  • Rotational schedule: 13 days on / 13 days off
  • Travel allowance and transportation arrangements included
  • Drug & alcohol-free workplace (pre-employment testing required)
