We are currently looking to recruit an Maintenance Technician (Electrical) for the delivery of Electrical PPM and Reactive maintenance Services, reporting to the M&E manager for technical support, the role will provide all aspects of electrical maintenance, including but not limited to:– Planned Preventative Maintenance– Fault Finding– Remedial Repairs– New Installation Works– Professional adviceThe role is a key function within the Estates department, to ensure the care and protection of the collections and making sure buildings are fit for purpose.Ensuring effective consultation and collaboration with stakeholders, to address prioritisation, and resolve conflicting objectives/demands where they exist.Hours of workFull timePart-time hours per weekAnnualised – full time hoursContract TypePermanentContract start dateProvisionally 31 January 2025Salary£32,900 – £36,505 per annum, depending on skills and experience [Band C]DirectorateResourcesLocationKew Gardens, RichmondClosing Date13/04/2025Documents(PDF, 279.26kb)
(PDF, 145.89kb)More detailsThe post holder will be Educated to City & Guilds in electrical installation or equivalent and considerable hands-on technical experience working with single and 3 phase electrical distribution and repairs.Proven knowledge, experience, and capability to diagnose faults on electrical and mechanical equipment in large commercial properties.This role will be engaged on an annualised hours contract working a 5 over 7-day rota.The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (RBG Kew) is a leading plant science institute, UNESCO World Heritage Site, and major visitor attraction.
