Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Risk Advisor, IT Operational Risk Management is a key strategic and integral role for the overall success of risk and compliance management within Core Platform Services (CPS). This dynamic position provides opportunities for working across CPS and the wider organization to help drive compliance and improve the overall risk posture within CPS.What will you do?Drive strategic alignment of Core Platform Services (CPS) to overarching TI Risk Management strategiesDeliver integration services for the EPS Risk and Compliance Delivery team, provide key information to assist the understanding of CPS risk profile and consistency in information across the 3 lines of defenseHelp drive the development and ongoing maintenance of proactive and effective controls in the TI environments to mitigate risks to an acceptable level, ensuring solutions are designed to meet the requirements of the sponsoring business unitLead CPS Key Risk Indicator and Key Performance Indicator monitoring process. Proactively monitor trends and take proactive action to avoid non-complianceInvestigate root cause for non-complianceProduce report and follow up on overdue and coming due risk itemsLead Archer Risk Finding documentation process with subject matter expertsCoordinate TI annual attestation campaigns to drive 100% on time completionParticipate in risk projects and process improvement initiatives as requiredAssist with development of governance documentation where necessaryWhat do you need to succeed?Must-haveExperience across the broad range of core services in Information Security/Risk Management in a Technology Operations environmentKnowledge of IT Operational Risk foundational principlesExperience with analyzing risk information and producing effective reportingNice-to-haveUniversity degree or equivalent experienceExperience in Financial Services organizationTechnical knowledge of RBC’s hardware and software systemsWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
