Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat Is The Opportunity?We are looking for a Senior Manager, Business Operations within Enterprise Platform Services (EPS) team to provide financial, strategic advice and analyses to the senior management team to improve financial performance, drive cost savings and the quality of business decisions for spend managed by this group. This position requires working in an operational and strategic capacity developing business cases for capital, refresh, regulatory and contract funding taking into consideration the impacts to RBC business units. The incumbent will provide financial and advisory services internally ensuring funding, documentation / PARs, plans, and stake holder concurrence is in place.What Will You Do?Lead various business cases / PARs for capital, risk management and contract funding taking into consideration the impacts to RBC business unitsAssist in PAR creation, review of financial options analysis and financial tracking of all program initiativesProject reporting including preparation of summaries for senior executives related to various project spend, pricing and budgets to identify areas of risk and opportunityLiaise with third party service providers, vendors and internal stakeholders (Finance, Risk Management and Procurement) from multiple geographies including, but not limited to, Canada, US, UK and the Caribbean on funding, invoicing, payments, contract management and operational risk issuesMonitor vendors to ensure compliance to contract terms and conditionsSupport with contract resources documentation including statement of works (SOWs) on an ongoing basisResponsible for consolidation, management and validation of cost savings initiativesAccountable for supporting the business in providing advice on the allocation of costs to the various business platforms and for proactively leading, maintaining and supporting the implementation of the cost allocation frameworkWhat Do You Need To Succeed?Must have:Business degree, MBA/CPA or equivalent relevant experienceKnowledge/ experience with business cases / PARsUnderstanding of financial and procurement processesStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate horizontally across the organizationProven planning, organizational and problem solving skillsNice-to-have:Relevant financial institution / IT related experienceProgram management experienceWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
