While each day brings new challenges, the following activities are typically carried out:Undertake site investigations utilising various techniques; boreholes, testpitting, CPT and more to determine subsurface ground profiles to aid designs of various elements.Conduct site visits to observe and monitor construction activities, providing valuable insights for ongoing design projects.Assesses soil, rock and groundwater compositions from compiled fieldwork data, presenting interpolation of data for use in design.Participates in design of earthworks, earth retaining structures, pavements, foundations for roads, bridges and tunnels, utilising industry-standard software such as gINT, Geo-studio and Plaxis to create and modify engineering models.Contribute to the preparation of reports and other essential engineering documentation.Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants, and contractors to facilitate effective project coordination.About YouBachelor’s degree in civil engineeringPassion for learning and problem-solvingEligible to work in AustraliaCurrently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduationWhy Stantec?The Stantec community unites over 30,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
