GSL Education is currently seeking a full-time Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Waterlooville.The Role:As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department by preparing practical experiments, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of laboratory sessions. This is a full-time position, with a permanent contract available upon successful completion of a probation period.Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and setting up practical experiments for science lessons.
- Maintaining and organising laboratory equipment and chemicals.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed in the lab.
- Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions.
- Managing stock levels and ordering new supplies when needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Science Technician or a strong background in science.
- Knowledge of laboratory health and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting education.
