Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?RBC’s Investor Services is looking for a Senior Business Solutions Specialist with Analysis and/or Production Support experience to join the Shareholder Services department as the first line of support of their Unitrax record keeping application. The Shareholder Services Support group is responsible for maintaining the records for investors of various investment companies that offer investments such as Pooled Funds, link Notes, Hedge Funds, Asset Allocation and Mutual Funds. Along with maintaining records, reporting is provided to unit-holders, all in accordance with government policies, tax laws and national policies. They provide overall system support to end users and liaise with vendors for investigation into application related issues, system maintenance and development.What will you do?

  • Research the business requirements to support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of Shareholder Services Systems
  • Ensure the investment set up and maintenance of the record keeping systems client tables is kept up to date and accurate
  • Funds setup of Mutual, asset allocation, linked notes and segregated funds
  • Primary participant in the year end and taxation projects including the system set up from release meetings and vendor coordination for all client environments
  • Provide back-up support for nightly operations ensuring batch processes are executed accurately and on time as per Client service level standards.
  • Day-to-day research & resolution of problems affecting operations units
  • Effectively liaise with the system Vendors to provide timely and accurate
  • Support to our Business Partners.

What do you need to succeed?Must-have

  • Post-secondary degree
  • 5 years of Mutual Funds Industry and segregated funds and Business Analysis or Production Support experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent analytical thinking/ problem solving skills and testing production issues.
  • Ability to excel in a team environment
  • Knowledge of link notes and segregated /insurance funds and ESG/FundSERV

Nice-to-have:

  • Completion of the Mutual Funds Operations Course
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
  • E-business applications such as Wealthlink.
