Responsibilities for Hospital Security Guard
- Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors
- Manage access control
- Perform regular patrols to identify potential risks
- Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
- Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
- Answer questions in person or by phone
- Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
- Required to work with a team of highly skilled Security Professionals
- Visit a patient – direct the person(s) to Patient Inquiry (Switchboard) to obtain the room number
- Diagnostic procedure (EKG, Holter Monitor, X-Ray, CT scan, Ultrasound) direct them to the Diagnostic Imaging department
- Post-surgical follow up, staple removal, Plastic Surgery clinic – to Orthopedic Clinic
- Direct anyone out of the building, who is not supposed to be there
- CCTV Monitoring
- Responding to Fire Alarm/Emergency Situations
- Respond to different codes
- Complete daily reports and incident reports
- Desk Duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for Hospital Security Guard
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Hold a valid Manitoba security license
- First aid certification an asset
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
- Fluent in English, both written and orally
- High school education or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent computer skills
