Join a dynamic Private Equity Family Office as a Part-Time Finance Director, overseeing a global investment portfolio with flexible, home-based work and competitive pay.Job Summary:
As a key part of the team, the Family Office Finance Director will oversee the management of a diverse global investment portfolio and ensure financial oversight of the family’s private equity investments. This is a part-time role, offering flexibility with one day of work per week, primarily home-based with occasional meetings in London.Duties:

• Financial Oversight: Review financial statements and liaise with external accounting firms in several jurisdictions, ensuring visibility and accuracy of the work of the various finance teams across the Private Equity assets and operating companies.
• Global Portfolio Reporting: Prepare and present global asset portfolio reports, for Private Equity assets in the portfolio, including providing executive summary reports with monthly/quarterly performance analysis.
• Transaction support: Working with a team of up to three investment managers on the Private Equity side of the family office’s activities, monitor and support transaction activity, ensuring appropriate financial controls, record keeping and filings.
• Liquidity Management: Working with the head of the family office who manages the family’s passive investments and real estate investments, oversee liquidity management, ensuring appropriate funds are drawn from the investment portfolio to support future investments whilst maintaining the required distributions to support the family’s requirements.
• Tax & Financial Advisory: Liaise with tax advisors, financial institutions, and investment managers to optimize tax strategies and financial planning.
• Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and handle necessary filings.

Candidate Requirements:

• Strong ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, ideally with experience in family office environments.
• Expertise in UK corporation tax.
• Experience in managing accounting for high-net-worth individuals with global investment portfolios.
• Strong understanding of private equity investments.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a high degree of integrity.

Bonus Skills:

• Spanish language skills (spoken and written) are a plus for liaising with Spanish-speaking stakeholders and investments.
• Investment Strategy Support Experience: Being able to assist with the development and execution of investment strategies, ensuring alignment with long-term financial goals.

• European Accounting Experience: experience reviewing (in English) accounts and reports from European companies in local formats
