Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? Our Secondary school in Wickford is seeking a dedicated and versatile 1:1 SEN (Special Educational Needs) professional to join our team. As a 1:1 SEN, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced 1:1 SEN to contribute to a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to students with special educational needs, helping them to engage with the curriculum and make progress.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans and ensure that the specific needs of the students are met.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the well-being and independence of students with special educational needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and caregivers, providing updates on student progress and offering support and guidance.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with special educational needs in a school setting.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and tailor support strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
