Job Title: Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (Autistic Child with Pathological Demand Avoidance)

Location: West Hallam
Connex Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a child in reception/year 1 who has Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance at a Primary School in West Hallam. This is a full-time position requiring immediate availability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a child with Autism and Pathological Demand Avoidance.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Implement strategies to meet the specific needs of the child.
- Ensure consistency and continuity in support to promote the child’s development.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with children on the autism spectrum.
- A minimum of a grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent functional skills.
- Availability to start as soon as possible.
- Possession of a valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
- Commitment to a full-time position.
Training:
- Online training will be provided to enhance your skills and understanding.
