Job description
The Health Records department are looking to recruit a clerical officer to their department on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
Administrative tasks will include preparing and scanning discharge paperwork which will be uploaded to Patients Electronic Health Record. Adhoc duties may be requested by Health Records supervisor to ensure efficiency across the health records team.
A level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role due to data being uploaded to a live clinical system. Post holder should have good keyboard skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative. Relevant admin and clerical experience would be beneficial as is the ability to prioritise and deal with the day to day workload of a busy department.
The post holder will also be required to maintain patient demographic and administrative data through continual checking and updating of patient administrative system.
The shift pattern would be 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday and across two Dumfries sites at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary and Mountainhall Treatment Centre.
