We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join NHS Dumfries and Galloway’s Acute & Diagnostic Administration team as Relief Clerical Officer within the Emergency Department/Clinical Assessment Unit on an adhoc basis. A bank worker contract allows you to undertake shifts on an as and when required basis.

Based within Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, the post holder will fulfil a crucial role in providing clerical and administrative support to all areas within the Emergency Department and Clinical Assessment Unit, receive and register patients within the departments. The successful candidate should be a team player with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude as they may from time to time assist in a variety of areas dependant on service level objectives. Other attributes which we would be looking for the successful candidate to demonstrate on their application form and at interview is good communication and organisation skills with attention to detail, to be self motivated, enthusiastic and committed.

This post works very closely with the Emergency Department Medical and Nursing Teams and will be supported by Colleagues / Office Manager / Assistant Business Support Manager / Administration Services Manager.

The post will require the successful applicant to obtain Standard Disclosure Clearance.
