1:2 TutorLocation: RotherhamPay Scale: £25- £30 per hourRequired: ASAPContract: Part-time/Full-TimeGSL Education’s South Yorkshire branch is looking for an experienced 1:2 Tutor to join our client schools in Rotherham. This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual who has a passion for working with students with LAC and SEMH needs.Job summary:As a 1:2 Tutor, you will deliver personalized tutoring sessions designed to meet the unique needs of your students. This role involves providing tailored educational support to two students, with a focus on those with Looked After Children (LAC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.Responsibilities:· Deliver effective tutoring sessions to two students, focusing on their individual learning needs.· Develop and implement personalized learning plans for the students.· Monitor and assess student progress, provide regular feedback, and adjust teaching strategies, as necessary.· Foster a positive and supportive relationship with the students to build their confidence and motivation.Requirements:· Proven experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) and students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.· Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications.· Strong understanding of the educational and emotional needs of LAC and SEMH students.· A proactive and adaptable way to deal with students and their needs.· An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.We welcome applications from applicants who are passionate about supporting the educational and emotional development of students with LAC and SEMH needs by being a part of the supportive school community in Rotherham.Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.GSL Education is an ethical, independent recruitment agency which aims to provide quality teaching and support staff in schools throughout South Yorkshire.For more information or to register your interest in ‘1:2 Tutor’ role, or to be considered, please click ‘apply now’ to submit your full and up-to-date CV, and one of our dedicated consultants will be in touch.
