Location: Chalk RiverWaste Operations Engineering has the in house engineers and technical staff to perform design and configuration management activities for waste services. Our Electrical, Civil and Mechanical staff have the codes, standards and specialized knowledge of the Waste Services facilities, and its operations to serve Waste Services in the delivery of its operations.Waste Operations Engineering is looking for an innovative, customer-oriented, individual that will assist the Waste Operations Engineering Work Planning Coordinator in maintaining configuration control records, tracking Engineering jobs from start to finish, working with subject matter experts and project staff to plan engineering work.This is a very exciting opportunity for an administrator looking to gain skills in thinking outside the box to develop new solutions for standardizing engineering activities to help deliver more efficient operations and services, we look forward to working with the student hired as they grow their skills in our business oriented area.If you are interested, we invite you to submit a resume, cover letter, and copy of an up-to-date transcript by the posting close date of May 26th at 11:59 pm EST, to ensure consideration for student employment.   • Updating excel sheets with current status of engineering work.
  • Attending project and contractor meetings, updating records with information obtained from (project) meetings.
  • Gathering data through interviews, reviewing similar work and/or field observation of tasks to plan and document engineering activities.
  • Gaining experience with data processing by updating databases.
  • Tracking and reporting on the status of engineering deliverables for projects.
  • Filing documents (drawings, reports, assessments etc.) in an electronic database.
  • Gaining experience working with Foxit (a PDF editing) software to help maintain records.

Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom.
