All students applying for student positions at CNL must be returning to full-time studies upon completion of their work term. Exceptions will be made for students who require a work term in order to graduate.

Duration: 4 months (May- August)
Field of Study: Commerce or Business Administration with focus in Finance / Accounting
Year of study: 2nd, 3rd, 4th year or higher
Location: Remote
Are you in a Commerce or Business Administration (with a focus in Finance / Accounting) program? Would you like to help with the accurate and timely compilation of routine reports, provide administrative support and reporting services while meeting all month-end and reporting deadlines, and help update policies to maintain a strong internal control environment? What you will be doing:
- Data entering
- Generating reports as required
- Verifying that transactions comply with financial policies, procedures, and approval limits
- Backing up other team members as required
- Performing other duties as required
What we are looking for:
- Interpersonal or technical skills, knowledge or abilities required
- Functional knowledge of accounting processes
- Proactive and positive approach to business and business strategy/ solutions
- Demonstrated analytical, planning, and problem solving skills
- Requires strong communication, planning, analytical, organizational and priority skills
- Complete familiarity with use of Microsoft office products (excel, word and outlook) is a requirement
- Ability to identify efficiencies / improvements
Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security”.

Location:
CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible. Our Work from Home employees are provided with the equipment required to be successful: laptop, monitor, external etc. Of course, we always love a visit to site when possible!
