We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our skilled technical team as an Associate Practitioner on a fixed term contract covering maternity leave. This post is within the busy Microbiology Department based in the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary. The post holder will have the opportunity to join a strong team working within a modern medical laboratory located on the outskirts of Dumfries. Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary is a state-of-the-art general hospital opened in December 2017.The shift pattern for this job is 5 days over 7 (including weekends, early and late shifts). Recent experience of working in a medical or clinical laboratory would be beneficial but training will be provided. An immediate start is required once pre-employment checks are completed.This post is fixed term for 9 Months.Interviews will be held on 18/12.2024 at the Laboratories, Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Dumfries.Please note we anticipate a high level of interest in this position therefore we may close the vacancy prior to the closing date once a sufficient amount of applications are received. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
