Your role will involve helping children with autism develop crucial communication, social interaction, play, and daily living skills. We’re looking for enthusiastic Behavior Technicians/Registered Behavior Technicians (or adventurers at heart!) to join our team and creatively guide the course of ABA therapy.
- Compensation: $25-35/hr (Based on Experience)
- Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week depending on client schedules)
- Available Shifts: Afternoons/Evenings
Afternoon Schedules AvailableUlster County
- Port Ewen, NY:
- Tuesday-Friday 3:30-6:30PM & Saturday 1-4PM
- Work schedule generally consists of 3-4 hours per day
- Note: Specific shifts may vary based on location and client needs.
Your Required Navigation Tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred
- Reliable transportation to client homes or designated locations
- A passion for helping individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort with technology – data collection is a key part of ensuring client progress, and we rely on digital tools to track success
- Ability to adapt and navigate challenges with a problem-solving mindset
- A commitment to continuous learning and growth
- Ability to pass a background check
Responsibilities of Your Mission – The Behavior A Technician Role
- Adventure Guide: Implement direct one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Behavior Navigator & Skill Scout: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to manage challenging behaviors and enhance clients’ social and communication skills and independence
- Team Explorer: Collaborate effectively with team members and family to implement behavior intervention plans
- Progress Compass: Collect and record data on client progress, utilizing information to adjust treatment plans
- Compass of Compassion: Maintain professionalism and a commitment to providing high-quality services
- Calm Captain: Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures
