We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced pastoral care professional who loves dance and wants to help young people thrive in the creative industries. Is this you? This is your opportunity to be part of something groundbreaking.
Academy Breakin’ Convention is the ‘ABC’ of hip hop theatre, offering a full-time further education programme for creative and talented 16 – 19-year-olds. This is the first Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performance and Production Arts, specific to hip hop theatre in the UK.

Academy Breakin’ Convention (ABC) is delivered by Breakin’ Convention and Sadler’s Wells. The academy is one of the major initiatives at our new venue, Sadler’s Wells East.
As Pastoral Lead, you will collaborate with the Head of Academy and the Assessment Lead to:
- Coordinate, plan and co-deliver the wellbeing and self-development strands of the curriculum, which aim to develop the individual in a holistic way.
- Promote a culture of care and respect among students and staff.
- Function as a deputy safeguarding lead, ensuring the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health of our young people.
- Support our learners to become articulate leaders who can engage in critical and respectful discourse, self-regulate, and cope with challenging situations.
- Provide opportunities for learners to achieve the performance and production qualification and support the mission and values of Academy Breakin’ Convention.
