We are seeking an Account Manager (Veg) Canada, to join the GRODAN Sales Team in Ontario.   • Generate GRODAN sales through developing and maintaining relationships with clients, distributors, grower groups, consultants and other stakeholders, within the horticultural market.
  • Manage all sales opportunities within area of responsibility and execute business and pricing plans to deliver budgeted figures.
  • Sell GRODAN products and services using technical, organizational, and customer/market knowledge;
  • Take ownership for achieving sales budget, volume and price increases
  • Build, maintain and improve relationships with current and future customers, distributors and other relevant internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that adequate resources and focus is placed on all product areas to achieve sales goals
  • Help maintain competitor profiles through reporting
  • Systematically register all activities in GRODAN CRM systems
  • Actively set up training for customers in conjunction with Business Support
  • Actively support seminars, exhibitions and other events
  • Engage with customers with regard to complaints or problem
  • Provide input to translate and implement GRODAN sales strategy into Operational Business Action and Pricing plans for the regions and segments
  • Develop potential market based on the yearly sales plan, sales action plans and standards of performance
  • Inform colleagues and manager about new and existing products and applications of competitors
  • Maintain and update personal knowledge by participating in relevant seminars, workshops
  • Provide input to local area marketing for effective implementation of marketing strategies and work closely with business support to further build supportive cultivation advice
  • Provide input to senior manager on forecasts, market trend reports, opportunities and corrective actions

What You Bring

  • A bachelor level degree (preferably Horticulture or Business)
  • 3 years relevant working experience in similar positions within horticulture
  • Ability to build relationships with distributors, clients and stakeholders;
  • Strong written and spoken language
  • Excellent commercial skills such as consultation and negotiation
  • Regular use of sales IT tools and good command of CRM system
  • Strong Presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel (6-8 trips to Alberta/BC), as well as trips for Tradeshows and meetings in NA and on occasion Europe.
