These include the commercial revenues generated from our award winning exhibitions; CIPD Festival of Work and the CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE). CIPD ACE is the UK’s largest HR event having been run for over 75 years. Festival of Work is our multi-million pound event, serving HR professionals and business leaders in this game-changing exhibition.At such an exciting time for CIPD / People Management we are currently seeking an experienced Account Manager to manage established accounts and focus on new business growth. Reporting into the Commercial Director you will work alongside the rest of the team to maximise the commercial potential across both PM and CIPD’s event portfolio.The successful candidate will be expected to show the best possible attitude, output and desire to champion our brand in the market. You will be responsible for delivering results across a portfolio that includes display, content solutions, awards, conferences, exhibitions, events activity and bespoke solutions.If that isn’t enough we also have the opportunity to launch exciting products into the marketplace. This really is a chance for an Account Manager to make an impact on these excellent brands in a high-profile role and be recognised across the business. Responsibilities:Core requirements:
- Maximise revenue for the full CIPD and PM portfolio from your assigned client base and new business areas. Includes having the ability to develop your client base strategically in order to drive growth across the portfolio.
- Confident in arranging and conducting high-level face to face meetings with key clients with good presentation skills
- Have the ability to think on your feet and put together integrated, cross-portfolio campaigns for clients and also to deliver creative solutions where necessary
- Professionally represent Haymarket as well as the CIPD both internally and externally
- You will demonstrate strong sales ability as well being able to drive and motivate the team around you.
- You need to have a good understanding of digital products and demonstrate real ability for driving digital revenue streams and content solutions.
- You will be eager to be involved with all elements of live events to ensure that we have successfully delivered on revenues and execution
- You must be able to work well under pressure and maximise relationships with colleagues and the CIPD.

- Proven sales track record – includes portfolio selling (sponsorship, digital, events and more)
- Proven track record of strategically managing and growing key accounts
- Be consistently professional and well-presented
- Be self-motivated whilst being a team player and a respected member of the team
- Ambitious and very target driven
- Good communicator, face to face and in writing
- Strong attention to detail
- Accountable and responsible
- Ability to problem solve and seek to improve
- Ability to pitch face to face at a high-level
