We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in the industry located in Markham, Ontario. This role offers an exciting opportunity to handle various accounting tasks, including processing and managing accounts receivable and payable, reconciling accounts, providing support to employees, agents, and customers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications.
• Ensuring the maintenance of precise customer credit records.
• Addressing and resolving customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary.
• Managing cash receipts applications and payment processing.
• Conducting reconciliation of accounts, including credit cards, monthly customer, and vendor statements.
• Ensuring the reconciliation of AR and AP sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
• Handling month-end processing related to AR & AP – such as Aged Reports, accruals, and customer deposits.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry legal requirements, advising management on necessary actions.
• Providing exceptional support to employees, agents, and customers, both in person and over the phone.
• Utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for various tasks.
• Maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Handling multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting established timelines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in account reconciliation and bookkeeping
• Strong knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations accurately and efficiently
• Proven experience in data entry related to accounting tasks
• Expertise in using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and tasks
• Experience with Epicor accounting software is preferred
