We are looking for a meticulous Accountant to join our team in Concord, Ontario. As part of this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting compliance with accounting standards. This opportunity is ideal for someone who excels in data analysis, reconciliation, and collaborative problem-solving.Responsibilities:

• Handle large datasets with precision, ensuring data integrity and proper documentation.

• Apply comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles to maintain compliance across all financial activities.

• Investigate variances in financial data, identifying discrepancies and collaborating with the team to resolve issues effectively.

• Provide clear and logical explanations for adjustments and work with colleagues to implement corrective measures.

• Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and records.

• Record deposits accurately, ensuring proper classification and supporting documentation.

• Conduct Purchase Order (PO) reconciliations to verify the accuracy of purchasing and inventory records.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and tools like Yardi.

• Skilled in core accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

• Familiarity with auditing practices and balance sheet account management.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and complex formulas.

• Ability to work with large datasets while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.

• Effective problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to resolving discrepancies.
