Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our accounting team to support the general accounting function in Canada. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will assist in handling all day-to-day accounting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post bank transaction entries
- Prepare and post accounting accrual entries for general operating expenses
- Support various general accounting activities including fixed asset accounting, prepaid accounting, Open PO accrual, and OPEX cost allocation
- Perform account reconciliation on GL accounts assigned
- Administer company credit card and corporate purchase card programs
- Support financial review on new vendor account setup
- Support Procurement in PO generation and liaison with internal requestors and vendors
- Support GST, PST, and other tax filings
- Participate in preparation of monthly OPEX funding request
- Ad-hoc accounting, purchasing, administrative, and project tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager or Controller
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting and administrative experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- University degree preferred
- Work experience in large enterprise ERP system (e.g. Oracle, SAP) is an asset
- Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $55,000 – $90,000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
